Guest	Posted: Sun Aug 14, 2026 3:03 pm    Post subject:   Clear molding compound is used mostly in photo-sensitive devices, so light can pass through the package. The fillers that make ordinary packages black are also what make them strong. Since clear molding compounds obviously don't have such fillers, they are not as strong as ordinary molding compounds. Manufacturers usually specify devices with clear molding compound to operate between 25-85 C only. Therefore, it might be an overkill to qualify them for -65C to 150C.
