Could somebody share insights of what causes the solder fracture after 1000TC aside from solder fatigue due to thermomechanical stress? Most of the failures are happening on the right side of the die. Why?

do you see die cracking also or just die lifting? 1000 TC to me seems to really indicate fatigue failure. why do you think it's not fatigue?

re most failures happening on right side of the die, there must be a stress amplifying feature there. look for voids or uneven distribution of solder by xray.
