I’ve come across a topic re Cleanrooms at your, http://www.semiconfareast.com/cleanrooms.htm. I refer to Table 1 Cleanroom Classes. Appreciate if you could explain further the meaning of N/A? Does it means Not Applicable? Let’s take class 10000, would it mean that any particle from size 0.1 to 0.3 microns that will intrude into the clean room is acceptable at any count level?
Your expert advise is highly appreciated. |

'N/A' simply means that as far as industry standards are concerned, you only need to consider the mentioned particle sizes (0.5 micron min.) for Class 10K when reporting your data. You don't need to take measurements for particles smaller than this, and meeting the required counts for the considered particle sizes means you're OK. Same is true for other classes -only certain particle sizes are considered.
Do you see any particular issue with regard to particles less than 0.5 micron for class 10K? |
