The Role of Equipment Engineer???

Can any one over here tell me the role of equipment engineer in semiconductor field?? What they should perform?? Thanks

check your job description form.... that usually depends on the company u are in. but as the position implies, you'd be focused on equipments, keeping them in good running condition, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week...

There are different classification of Equipment Engineer, We have the Preventive Maintenace Equipment Engineer, we have the Line Maintenance Equipment Engineer, we have the Equipment Development Engineer and we have all those mentioned above and so on and commonly called as FOL or EOL Assembly Engineer . In my case as engineer from one company before joining subcon , I used to be Engineer and both PE and ME are reporting to me but I used to be identified as an Equipment Engineer eventhough I am in charge of the Process , New Product and Qual , Design Review and Buy Off of equipments because if the technicians cannot make the machine run , I am the one who is doing the hands on trouble shooting both with equipment and process issues and I have technical papers submitted to ASEMEP discussing Process Improvements and Machine improvements but even today my feeling is that I am an Equipment Engineer.
