Is it ok to move OQA sampling ahead of a short test? The equipment we're using for production test and OQA test in in Factory A but we need to do a short special test in Factory B. If we will do OQA in A, then it needs to go back to A from B after the special test. I want to propose to do the OQA in A, so there's no need to go back to A from B after the special test. Get it?

Confucius,

Given your name, I find it hard to give you a piece of advice. Anyway...

Transferring OQA ahead of your last test step defeats the purpose of OQA, which is to check if the parts are still good right before they ship out to the customer. In fact, your OQA dpm data are technically the incoming dpm data of your customer.

Since your parts will undergo a major transit from Factory A to B and then undergo a special test and additional handling before being packed for shipment, I would advise you to retain your OQA at the very end of your process, right before shipment.

To minimize transfers, one option is to set up an OQA test capability in Factory B where the special test is to be done, even just a simple one. Another option is to let your Test guys do the work of transferring your special test to Factory A or removing it altogether.
