Same as the risks and benefits of joining a long-established company: you are rewarded when you do good, you are fired when you don't. The only difference between a startup and a long-established semiconductor company AFAIK (notwithstanding the kind of people that run them) is the length of time they've been in business.

I thought, Hynix is an electronics company because we used to provide compnent to them (IDT).
Anyway, you are right - there is no difference between an established company and a start-up one aside from the length of years. |

That was way back then, when Hynix was formerly known as Hyundai Electronics. Now the company's divisions have separated to form individual companies: Hyundai ImageQuest, Hynix Semicon, Hyundai C-Tech, Magnavision, etc.
