Yes, there's life after your semicon years. If you think it's time to move on or reinvent yourself, but you're too young for permanent retirement, then you may want to consider finding a job in another field or establishing your own business. Either way, you need to be financially secure before making the move.
Being 'financially secure' means different things to different people though. So the question is, what does it really mean to most people in the semicon industry?
If your company will offer a 'once-every-10-years' special early retirement package today (on top of whatever stock options or benefits you have right now), how much should the offer be before you take it? 1M? 3M? 5M?

ako 500k lang gud na. babaw lang kasi wala pa ako 5 yrs. so talagang wala pa kong retiremnet...hanap na lang ulit ng ibang kumpanya...
