Immersion of IE Students in a Semicon Company

I am an industrial engineering professor in De La Salle LIpa teaching Methods Engineering and Manufacturing Processs. Our focus in manufacturing process is semicon industry. At the third part of the semester the students are required to have 45 hours semicon plant observation. May I request if any of the semicon company would allow to let my 8 students have an immersion experience in your company. They could either do a motion study or work design study depending on the needs or opportunities in the company. Thank you in advance.

Hi Ms. Buquiz,

My suggestion to you is to formally write to the HR managers of the semicon companies you know for this kind of request. If you have former students who are already working in a semicon company, ask for their help in delivering your request letter. Of course, an email would be fine too. You can just ask your former students to supply you with the names of the appropriate contact persons for this purpose.
