setbwina,
Find another job if you can. Or maybe, transfer to another dept. People Like These (PLTs) will only consume your blood until you're dead or if you are converted to be one of them.
Seriously, try to "improve" on your reporting skills. Easier said than done but below are some tips:
1. Copy his boss when reporting a major eval, issue, solution, etc. Copy all other people involve so that it is not so obvious. But do not overdo it.
2. Do not explain thoroughly what you found out or discovered, so that when your boss is asked to explain in details you will have the opportunity to get back the credit you deserve.
3. Use a password on all your Microsoft files so that it is read-only. If your boss asks for the password, ask him why. If he wants changes, tell him you will do the changes. Explain something stupid like your computer went crazy that the password requirement became a default. Hopefully your boss would stop bugging you for the password.
4. Give credit to your boss on things that are not critical. To your boss it might be good enough for him to stop stealing your other ideas. Examples:
4.1 Sponsor of the PCDA team to solve the non stick issue on.....
Responsible: Mr. Alamkolahat
4.2 Scheduled an emergency meeting to solve.....
Responsible: Mr. Higup Sobra
Lastly, get that first Dilbert book. It's got tons of practical tips. If you don't find any, it would at least make you smile everytime you see your boss.

Hi Friends,
Let's observe a little more politeness in our choice of words in this forum. This forum is to build professional camaraderie among us in the semicon industry. We can, of course, voice out some of our angst, but let's choose words that are not offensive to the readers.
Again, my thanks to all of you for your support to this forum!
Regards,
EE
