Hello All,

What's the necessary procedure once there're failures were detected during regularly reliability monitoring? of course, we must take a corrected action from our process. Did we need to recall our products that have been shipped to customer end?

Thanks!

It depends on how critical the failure mechanism is, how critical the application is, and if you can pinpoint the affected lots. If it is a very critical rel issue (like die crack or pkg crack), and if it goes into a critical app (like aerospace or military apps), then recall must be considered. It's really your management's call on how much risk they want to take. BTW, don't make decisions based on gut feel. Try to do as much rel assessments as possible first. You may want to get additional samples from the same lot (maybe from warehouses, distributors, or even customers) and subject these to more rel tests.
