Hello,

Could you please explain what is Dewetting Testing and it's purposes?
Is there any standard or where can I get more information on this?

Thanks,
Guest

Hi Guest,

Dewetting, which is poor adhesion of solder to the base metal, is just one of the many potential failure modes of a soldering or lead finish process. I therefore suggest that you start with solderability testing specs - maybe these are what you're looking for: JESD22-B102 and Mil-Std-883 Method 2003.
